Letting Go
The act of letting go of someone or something might be the hardest thing we ever do. But have you ever considered that experiencing more joy could come from freeing your heart? That it might unlock your mind to discover new insights and inspiration. Or potentially assist in your emotional healing from trauma or illness.
Humans are interesting because somewhere we decide what we want must be what’s best for us, often without consulting our inner wisdom. This can create imbalance, and unreal expectations, blocking our prosperity.
Too often we hold on to something because it’s too painful to let go. Or we don’t know how to let go. This unconsciously limits our freedom to live our lives fully.
It’s time to master the art of letting go and transitioning into gratitude. In this episode, we delve into the power of releasing and uncovering barriers to strengthen the heart. To move into gratitude after loss, and to reconnect with Joy.

I learned as a podcaster to always be aware of my listener's pain points. In that spirit I pay attention to the news, what I witness others going through, energetic frequencies, dreams, and the altered realities many are experiencing.
This episode is my journey as well as yours. To find peace within these challenging times. Much of it was a download I received. The rest is an intimate share connecting our life experiences. Enabling us to see beyond the veil of deception and move into discovery.
So many of us are, or have been going through great loss… accompanied by fear, anger, resistance, grief, confusion, and pain. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone my friend.
You might be asking, why are we experiencing so many catastrophic events, wars, increased violence, and suffering? I’m told by experts that we’re moving through a dark transit, and everything’s coming up for us to see.
It’s occurred to me that maybe what feels tragic, is an awakening… Presenting an opportunity to reset the course of humanity. And renew a commitment to a moral or ethical code of being. COVID was supposed to be the awakening, and for some it was. But for others, fear and denial are still the currency of exchange.
The rapid changes we’re going through are indicators of a bigger plan unfolding. We just can’t see the plan yet. Although we’re certainly feeling a deep unraveling of beliefs, and old ways of being that make our lives difficult. It’s time to look at thought patterns and behaviors that are escalating the imbalance, reactivity, and suffering in our world.
I’ve personally been facing a lot of fear this year about losing loved ones and letting go. Through months of witnessing and showing up for those I love. I’ve been challenged emotionally. Fear has raised its ugly head on so many occasions I can’t count them.
There’s been one loss in my family, two very close calls, and a lot of physical suffering. I’ve realized that healing comes from gratitude and letting go of an outcome. The Dali Lama once said, "In the end, what’s important is, How well did you live? How well did you love? How well did you learn to let go?”
I engaged in a long meditation the other day seeking to dismiss fears about my brother’s current medical condition. He’s been through so much, and I’m having a rough time with his suffering.
In my meditation, I saw white electrical streams of light moving through his entire body. And I was given the words "light codes for healing." I saw an angel breathing light into his lungs. Another one began wrapping his heart in pink ribbons that I somehow knew were the love we were all holding him in. A golden light appeared and entered through his pineal gland at the top of his head, which I was told was the Source of wisdom. I also saw forest green sparks going off in his body, that I interrupted as soldiers like white blood cells.
This message followed the visualization. “It is absolutely necessary I let go of all fear. His experience has the potential to open your hearts and heal wounds of separation. He’s bringing this gift to the family. The only power you have is to love him. It is essential to let go of fear, and return to joy.”
You might ask, like I did, how do we return to joy in these situations? My guides instructed me to “return to gratitude for the present moment.” Whatever happens, I was to focus on my love and gratitude for him. For the gift of time, he’s been with me. His unconditional love, protection, and appreciation for every moment we’ve spent together. This is where we began, and what we will always have.”
I think about so many people losing loved ones, homes, relationships, animals, and their freedom. It appears we’re all in this shipwreck together looking for lifeboats of safety. But are we willing to share the journey, when the boat fills up and looks like it might sink?
Is it possible what we’re all going through is a test of the human spirit to connect with the hearts of others? That we’re tasked with these challenges because they wake us up?
Think about it. When do we witness people truly showing up? In crisis! Why is this the catalyst that brings us all together? I believe it activates the heart. The one overriding human quality that reminds us of a deeper code of human values.
In those moments, when we are called to show up. We don’t question another’s race, faith, politics, or sexuality. We simply dive into the water like we’re saving our own lives. And maybe, that’s exactly what we’re doing!
When we allow ourselves to embrace our emotions. We find that tears have the power to release almost anything. Feelings stored in places we can’t even see, reveal the deception we’ve been taught to believe. We become fully aware for one long moment….. before the curtain of fear falls again.
Do we seize the opportunity to dive deeper, and welcome new information? If we truly want peace and resolution we do. Because the only other choice sabotages ourselves and one another? When we stop analyzing and responding in the moment, we hear the inner voice of our hearts.
Ok. So the second part of the message in my meditation was “ Return to Joy.” And I’m saying to myself, yeah right. Where am I supposed to find that right now? I’m experiencing a great fear of loss. As tears began to stream down my face, I realized I was releasing emotions and trapped thinking.
“Find your joy” the message repeats. And I want to do this, right? In the next moment, I’m reminded that we are here to experience joy. That most of us have more buckets filled with joy than sorrow. So why do we allow sorrow to make us forget we have so much joy to be grateful for? Acknowledging the moments that sustain us, is the best resource we have to combat fear.
My brother is a great love of mine. I’ve had a beautiful relationship with him that will never leave me. And I don’t feel like he’s leaving now. But as an empath, I feel his pain and maybe his fear. And I was allowing it to flood me with grief and fear.
So I listened… and as I did, I began to feel my body filling up with light, and with hope. I decided to let go of the outcome, of any control I was fighting for with my prayers. To remember that everything happening is in divine order, although I may not see or understand it. It’s all for good. To move us out of darkness into light. And it’s my choice, to choose where I go.
For me the Dali Lama’s first two statements, how well did you love and live are not issues. It’s how well did you learn to let go. This has been a lifelong struggle for me. From little things like giving up small treasures, to relationships, and mistakes I regret. I’ve done a lot of work on this. I practice letting go, to find it's like a boomerang and comes right back to me. Usually around a feeling of loss, I can’t make peace with. Whether it’s self-blame, forgiveness, or grief.
It’s time to give up trying to control any outcome and let go. We are creating deep divisions in our world. And the only ones who can change this is us.
Ask yourself if holding onto opinions is worth trading in the people you love, for something intangible. Or if fear is paralyzing your responses and separating you from others. Relationships can be very fragile, and it’s important to treasure each one. Because all of them are bringing us lessons our soul has asked for.
To strengthen my faith that love inevitably wins over any conflict within or outside of me? I begin by using my intuitive connection to Source. There is no outside power greater than our personal power. Any conditioning that has us believe otherwise is flawed!
We choose to come into this world with a contract, to either heal ourselves & our relationships or to be of service. This world is simply the production set for the movie we’re creating to achieve our spiritual goals. We are more than form. We are spiritual beings who live beyond this experience.
A painful experience recently captured my attention. And today, I have been granted a new perspective. We’re all having to let go. When we do, the heart awakens to its true strength and power. Are we up to the task? It’s a choice. And one I don’t think we can’t run away from for very long.
Our personal power is gratitude. It connects us to love that heals, and leads us into a future the whole universe inverse is witnessing. And it’s greater than all of us. If we all gathered together in one heart, we’d be at our destination by now.
But we’re all in different places on our individual journeys. Often separating ourselves from one another. Seeking independence is fine for creativity. But separation that seeks division from the core values of our hearts, will create an environment of conflict and loneliness that has no home.
Connection with others is our return to joy.
A reunion of love for the planet may seem unimaginable. However, my guides consistently indicate that's the path we should follow. Disallowing the negative aspects of this human experience to deceive us.
Let’s remember how much joy we have experienced. It’s something to bank in your heart. I see it as having value similar to a compliment that stays with us, making us stronger and more resilient. You know the one that comes up when you’re at your lowest point and need to feel better about your life? That one!
To give you an example, this was one of my all-time favorites. Someone who was only in my life for a short time said to me. “I love your passion. I wish I could bottle it!” I had never heard that and I loved It!
Because so many people today misinterpret passion as pushing, selling something, or anger. But it’s so many other things… like creativity, love, dedication, excitement, intensity, and joy. It’s all in our perception positive or negative. I call up that compliment to bring me joy every time I need validation for my collective passion in this world.
Everyone falls into moments of fear and darkness at times. It’s part of the journey to discover our spirit’s strength. But regardless of what things look like, there’s always a gift leading us to a brighter path if we choose to find it.
Resistance and fighting for control to return to the past is a sure way to repeat the journey. If we can seek to understand the purpose of whatever is challenging us. Allowing our experiences to strengthen our resolve to heal. Our hearts can lead us into joy and gratitude.
I’ve decided to be a warrior against fear. The discomfort of that energy is draining and makes me angry and reactive when I engage with it. I find that its real purpose is to separate us.
So for me, a higher vibration becomes necessary to survive in this world. And I’m committed to doing my best to stay in a higher frequency where I have a clearer vision and stay open to alternative possibilities. What about you?
“How well do you live? How well do you love? How well are you learning to let go?” Let’s be open to working on ourselves. We’re all going through a test of the human spirit. And our higher self is waiting for us to return with joy.
