Authenticity

Hello, I’m your host, Riverann. And this is Heart Sense. A podcast for aligning, strengthening, and opening our hearts, to a frequency of love that heals ourselves and our planet. Thank you for being here!

I want to begin with some soul searching questions to lead you into today’s topic of authenticity. So let’s take a leap into some self discovery.

Were you ever asked what you bring to the world? Are you even familiar with all the tools and gifts you possess? Or what your vision and perspective adds to the creative process of discovery and development?

Has anyone ever said, that no one else can fill the space you do? Well, it’s true. I don’t think its something we often hear. But we are each unique pieces of a puzzle in a larger plan of human destiny. It’s like our DNA - only it’s a spiritual frequency of energy. And what you may have never heard, is that no one can replace you! No one has brought into this world your unique blueprint of contribution.

However, if we compromise our authentic selves to be like someone else. Join a group to feel secure, or try to gain favor from a person that prides themselves on what they have. We veer off from our true destiny, and flounder in undefined or redefined beliefs, that don’t represent who we are. In that place we wreak havoc with our internal GPS — our spiritual connection to our inner self.

This episode explores how an authentic life benefits everyone. How it charts a way to achieve balance, peace, joy and personal prosperity. This part of us holds an important key to how to live our lives. Tapping into it reveals a powerful personal journey with a life purpose.

So let’s begin by defining authenticity. It implies trust. Trust in people, their communication, our relationships with them, products, services, and events that will lead to a certain outcome. It’s something we can depend on if we invest in it. It’s deeper meaning is simply, what is real.

Showing up in a world focused only what we can acquire instead of who we are, is different than the world I grew up in as a child. So much of what’s happening today is created around visual perceptions. We see people mesmerized by wealth, power, and fame. If you listen closely, you’ll hear them actually rating one another.  This climate has led us to often forget, what’s special about us.

We’re all experienced the mixed messages in today’s world. The misinformation in the rhetoric on social networks, superficial value systems, and a lack of trust in one’s personal discernment of situations.

Sometimes we forget that what we all desire, and quite frankly deserve — is true authenticity in every action and response to one another. Without this kind of honesty and integrity in our lives, it’s hard to to know what’s real. And our relationships reflect this when they’ve no longer comfortable or fulfilling.

Today I want to remind you that there is nothing more valuable you and your authentic heart, promoting honest connection. Our world is requesting that everyone here contribute to the positive transformation of our planet. It’s a task we signed up for. And it can only be accomplished when we are honoring one another with the truth.

When we come together our energetic frequencies blend like music in a universal language harmony that defies the barriers separating us. It redirects us to move into a higher frequency to transform lower energies.

Separated, we’re easily enveloped by chaos, instilled by fear of the unknown. You might ask how separation creates fear? It’s actually quite simple. It happens when a perceived reality overrides a compassionate  heart’s inner knowledge of the truth.

You might see it in the behavior of a young child who’s lost. When there’s no physical connection with the parent, the child feels traumatized. Because the perceived reality is overwhelming. The same is true of us. When we’re out of balance or ungrounded, the mind disconnects from the present moment. It sees only what it fears. Engaging in an inner discourse of non realities, the body is flooded with paralyzing thoughts that shut off our access to creative solutions.

When people disconnect from the homing device of their hearts. They often begin to feed on adrenaline to feel alive. Fear is a virus. It becomes contagious when people search for answers outside of themselves. It’s like having amnesia and with no memory of where you came from. And no source to check the validity of anything.

If we’re not connecting to our inner wisdom. We’re attaching to outside sources that are manipulating human egos into war. If we’re not trusting our inner knowledge it’s the beginning of the end to self empowerment. Which may be the ultimate goal of any person or society that ignores the human condition. It appears to me as a wake up call for humanity.

People create separation to feel safe holding onto their beliefs. They’ve forgotten that our differences are gifts to explore an adventure that can bring us together for creative solutions.

The authentic self never needs validation from the opinions or beliefs of others. It’s rooted in self love with a desire to love with complete freedom. It’s anchor is compassion wrapped in strong self esteem.

Have you ever noticed the unstable foundation under someone who needs others to support their opinions or criticism? They’ll mention all the people who agree with them as a force to defend their perspective.

This kind of defense or self promotion is actually a sign, there’s a good chance their views are skewed with prejudice or a weakness. Their desire may be to destroy your self confidence. Or your ability to trust yourself, your decisions, and your values.

When we’re grounded in truth,  one voice is enough. We don’t need an army to support our core values or defend our actions. There’s an ease in expressing our feelings, an understanding of our connection to one another. This authentic self is aware that the only way out of conflict or disharmony is love and respect for our differences.

Have you noticed that people today are starving for attention? And i f you acknowledge them and give them enough attention, good attention, they’ll buy almost anything. I can feel some of you laughing… but it’s true. I’ll give you an example….

When given the attention they desire. These people also become very loyal because they’re feeding on that response from an outside stimulus.

However, if attention is authentic and given unselfishly, a person feels full and begin to remember who they really are. If it’s manipulation, they become more ravenous and out of balance. With a seemingly bottomless pit of unfulfilled desires and expectations. You May not that anger becomes the mode of response and resistance is the game plan.

Do you think this picture resembles what we’re seeing in our world today? Bullies who want to be kings because their wounds were never healed? Followers who believe someone or something outside of themselves is going to fight their battles and take care of them?

People often appear to be looking for a savior. But the truth is that we are more than capable of saving ourselves. It requires an authenticity that completely accepts responsibility for our journey to wholeness. Yet it appears to me that looking in the mirror has become a courageous challenge for most people today. One that many, never take up.

I think that most of us are searching for that unwavering inner strength that defines us. It’s the core of our being, where we find an unaltered truth that doesn’t change with the tides. Love created us and love responds creatively to our needs an inner compass to access what we need. It’s the most authentic part of us. Everything else came after.

Our children come into this world innocent. They are constantly reflecting back to us what is real. We find their authentic behavior sometimes challenging, but often humorous because it’s beautifully truthful.

They don’t yet have a veil over the truth. However, as they grow up, they’re conditioned to forget the connection to their inner guidance. They’re taught to control their environment and acquire things that will never fulfill the human spirit. And their taught to become dependent on the outside world.

To observe this, all we have to do is look at how long we are satisfied with anything we acquire. Think about the shelf life of happiness with anything new. It’s sad that we’re not satisfied for long. But that’s our programming.

So when you go out into the world today. Notice who and what feels authentic. What the difference is in the energetic nature of each. Then witness your own authentic or inauthentic responses. How do those feel? Are you satisfied with life and people and what’s happening to you? Or are you disoriented, dissatisfied, confused? Do you desire something more? If so, are you ready to give more?

Can you see how illusions play out in what we’re accepting in our lives? When we are depending on something outside instead of that compass point. That true intuition of the inner self that speaks to us all the time if we listen?

If you’ve forgotten who your authentic self is? You can begin to unlock your answers with a few questions? As you go though this inner dialog, write down your responses to how you create a roadmap for your desired destination.

I’m going to share with you a few questions to help you do this.

Start with this one.

Who is the most authentic person I know? What qualities do they possess that draw me and others to them? Do they seem happy, strong, resilient?

What do I like or love about myself? What do I want to contribute in my lifetime?

How do I show up in the world? Can I even see myself? If not, let’s begin there. By taking that challenge and looking into the mirror, and listening intently to the feedback that’s coming in.

When have I felt most deserving of love? What was I doing, saying, reflecting?

Or, what do I need to forgive myself for, to recognize the best parts of me?

Will forgiveness free me to receive the love I deserve? And, am I open and willing to receive love and acknowledgment from others?

When you’re finished. Put your answers aside and continue to explore them as things come up. Because they will, once you’ve set an intention and dig deep.

Start acknowledging what you want, how you want to feel, and what you bring to the world. We all have a legacy. It may be a simple act of kindness that saves or changes a life… human or animal.

Finally, set an intention for becoming your best self. Ask for spiritual guidance to connect with the most powerful part of you. I promise the assistance you need will come. Then know, that everything in your life is working towards perfection. If it takes a little while it’s because it’s working…it’s in process.

Allow the shifts you make to reverberate throughout your entire being. You’ll find the rewards of authenticity are much greater than any self serving agenda.

The concept of more is better, is simply an illusion to separate us from ourselves. When we no longer need something more, we have peace. We relax, enjoy the moment, our happiness is more sustainable because we’re living in gratitude and realize, we are rich.

We all are capable of great things if we feel comfortable within ourselves. Because it’s who you are! It’s your Heart Sense, your evolving wisdom! And it’s the simplest way we can change the human response to heal our relationships and our world.

I hope these tools set you on a journey to self awareness that delights your heart. If you’re already a beautiful authentic soul, thank you for showing up and sharing what is real. What we can trust. What the path to self awareness looks like and how it feels. And for modeling the truth of experience in a life well lived.

Authenticity… the wealth of our lives exists in that moment. In our unique understanding navigating through life from that place. It leads us to become beautiful, resilient, and compassionate role models, for the world we want to live in. Embrace it and you’ll find the key to a prosperous future built on love, kindness, and joy that opens doors you never thought were possible.
