What is wealth? Most people think of it as an abundance of money and or power. However that's only one kind of wealth. I suggest it’s a flawed concept of what is truly valuable. Because if you or I were on a deserted island, it wouldn’t be a survival tool. Nor is it something that feeds our hearts, connects us to one another emotionally, or inspires courage, compassion, or the higher mind.

This episode explores something much greater that expands time and space. Something I’m calling spiritual wealth. It’s an intangible connection to the divine within us. The sacred heart or gift we each bring in at birth and take with us when we leave.

Spiritual wealth is forgiveness, humility, love, compassion, and wisdom that transcends the physical world. It’s knowing how powerful we really are in the face of life's most difficult challenges. Gifted with an ability to overcome them and change an outcome.

This kind of wealth is embodied in an evolutionary process that expands with personal growth. It listens for the truth from within, not outside. It speaks to us through all kinds of mediums. Sometimes in an intuitive whisper, and others in a loud roar from our gut, or a simple unexpected change.

This episode is an exploration of true wealth. The key element of a rich and rewarding life, lives in our spiritual not physical prosperity.

Hello, I’m your host, Riverann. And this is Heart Sense. A podcast for aligning, strengthening, and opening our hearts, to a frequency of love that heals ourselves and our planet. Thank you for being here!

As I listen to the rhetoric, judgement and opinions of people today I’ve realized what’s missing, is an understanding of where our strength and power really come from. Humanity places so much importance on physical wealth and it’s potential power that most haven’t explored their supreme power.

Monetary inequality exists… all because someone long ago decided that gold was the most valuable possession in the world. It’s equated with a visual perception that  doesn’t consider the value of everything else on this planet.

Gold is a mineral of the earth. It doesn’t heal us, satisfy our emotions, or connect us to one another. And yet it’s contrived value as the foundation of wealth in a three dimensional world, is extremely flawed. This currency is often considered more valuable than life. By itself, gold is simply an inanimate object without an ability to respond to life.

If you really think about the concept of wealth in today’s world; it’s easy to see how this mistake has led humanity in the wrong direction. Because it discounts everything that truly has meaning in our lives… things like family, companions, health, relationships, nature, and love.  Just to name a few.

So I have a question. Can being wealthy really satisfy all your human needs? Does it feed the senses and nourish the body, mind and spirit? If it did, would we even need one another or a have a desire to grow?

Gold is defined a precious metal, the chemical element of atomic number 79, used in jewelry, decorations, and to guarantee currencies. Wow. If you were shipwrecked on an island would it help you survive? Will it feed or hydrate your body? Does it heal you? Will it soothe a broken heart or facilitate compassion? So why do people value it more than personal qualities that are the foundations for success?

I feel like humans long ago forgot who they are. There is so much distortion of truth today, that it’s sometimes difficult to know what is real. Priorities are out of balance, and much of humanity has been pushed into a survival mode. Which is something we should have moved out of with the Industrial Revolution.

So today, we’re going to look at what’s missing in the assessment of true wealth. How banking the present and our future in a physical element, has created a detrimental impact in humanity’s evolution.

Most of us have been taught that we can’t take anything with us when we die. The only thing that moves on, is the soul. So what is the soul taking with it? Do we bring anything of value with us at birth? And what if anything do we take with us as a soul.

Let’s begin by defining evolving wisdom and explore it as a spiritual concept. Let’s call it our spiritual wealth. Many of us believe that love is the greatest power of the universe. So why don’t we bank love and see it as have as much or more value than gold?

Because it’s not a physical, three dimensional object, it’s often discarded as simply something to hope for. Consider for a moment how rich we feel when we’re embraced with love. And how we feel when it’s absent from our lives.

What other things create frequencies of connection that might create a feeling of embrace? How about music? Our connection to it can fill our bodies with frequencies of joy… is that not wealth? Or good health, within which we have no opportunity to experience life at its fullest. And yet few people prioritize these things over having or making money.

Money is nothing more than an exchange of energy between two or more people. That energy allows us to exchange it for things we desire for it. Wealth may allow us to do more exchanges. However, it’s empty energy unless it adds something to our comfort level, facilitates growth, or gratitude.

What we really should be banking is our spiritual wealth. But people are often unfamiliar with its power. Spiritual wealth is an evolving attribute that grows as we connect with the intangible. It’s a divine attribute that holds the key to a balanced and productive life. Our tool for living with grace that offers more opportunities for personal development and growth than anything else.

Spiritual wealth is the sacred heart we bring into this world with us. It facilitates surrendering to opportunities for growth through the higher mind. Acting as a compass for humanity, it serves as the root of our strength. Moral codes and compassionate hearts come from connecting to this inner being. It’s the only tangible thing our soul takes with us when we die.

We all possess it. You may or may not be familiar with this part of yourself— but it exists. Acknowledging the divine power within, allows us to embrace what true wealth offers us.  Spiritual wealth is like intuition. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes. Until it leads us to recognize true wealth is this inner power. A supreme gift our souls brought with us to strengthen and guide us through our life experiences.

If we’re in alignment with true power, our whole perspective changes, as do our desires. We’re more interested in sharing than having, in learning than being equipped with answers. Our humanity stretches to include new horizons previously blocked from our view. In this sacred place the universe responds to us with a wealth beyond our imagination. We open the door to strengthening our soul. This is spiritual wealth.

When we realize the path we’re walking is an assessment of our spiritual wealth, we may stop judging. If we see this connection as a priority for our life’s decision making process. It can serve as an indication of where we need to focus our energy for personal growth and to serve humanity.

If we’re living with a goal of simply achieving material wealth. It may be time to change the hard drive of our thoughts and intentions. Because wars of any kind,  personal or global, are never won. They’re just human sacrifices. Judging others reveals a limited human perspective. And desiring control over anything but ourselves, is admitting we’re spiritually weak in the creative process.

Spiritual wealth is forgiveness, humility, love, and strength in the face of overwhelming odds. It’s the knowledge and appreciation for our differences, and what anchors our humanity in love. It’s knowing how powerful we really are in the face of adversity with our ability to foster creative solutions. This kind of wealth allows others to find their way without our judging them.

It’s listens for truth from within, not outside. It speaks to us though all kinds of mediums. Sometimes in a whisper, and others in a loud roar from the gut. When we acknowledge this inner voice of direction, we never defer to the opinions of others. In essence it’s like being a whale or one of the oldest trees on the planet. We simply open remember who we are and to the universal knowledge that lives within us.

How does it speak to us. Here are some examples to illustrate the connection we all have to this spiritual wealth from our evolving wisdom. Let’s say you’re having a meal and something doesn’t taste right. Your body’s voicing an objection to guide you stop eating it. If you don’t listen, you may become ill.

Here’s another one. Let’s say you’re asked to do something that goes against your gut or your heart but you do anyway. And it has a terrible repercussion.

I had friend once who as an adult, never wanted to drive a motor vehicle. She was convinced by her family that she had to learn. In less than a month after receiving her driver’s license; a young child jolted out in front of her car without warning. She hit him, and he died.

Now I know that’s an extreme case. However, it’s a great example of how the wealth of our spiritual wisdom informs and directs us. Without consciously knowing of the danger of acquiring a license to drive. She instinctively knew it wasn’t something for her.

Have you ever had a wish fulfilled just to find out that it didn’t make you happy? Do you think it’s possible that when we aspire to have things that are not in our highest good, the result is that they don’t make us happy.

Is there any part of you that doesn’t respond to the status quo and you’re proud of it? When we know something about us is different. And refuse to abandon this aspect of our personality or character because it feels like a gift, it is!

We came in to this world with veils over some of our consciousness to challenge us to grow. But somewhere we remember… This acquisition of this memory is a continuous journey to wisdom that creates and accentuates our spiritual wealth.

I don’t know how I know what I’m about to say. But I do know it because of my connection to my soul’s consciousness. Even as a child, it seeped through the physical barriers of this plane of existence. And this wealth of knowledge has protected and guided me through the most difficult challenges of my life.

The statement I hear when I’m in distress is this: I am more powerful than anything I come up against. Kind of like David with Goliath in the biblical story. I have the capability of not only surviving the moment… but in also changing the outcome. If only everyone knew this truth to be self evident. They would seek spiritual wealth as opposed to material wealth.

I’m not saying that material wealth is bad, because remember it’s only an exchange of energy.  But it’s important to understand that what we’re exchanging isn’t really an animate object. It’s energy that creates form and changes history. This exchange was always meant to be an embrace that promotes the well being of both parties.

Spiritual wealth has an abundance of tools for transformation because it works on a frequency that expands time and space. Material objects are only three dimensional and so they don’t do this. We simply acquire them for temporary happiness and later store them for future use.

Are you with me? If you’ve ever picked up a pendulum and it begins moving… You’re witnessing the energy of your body connecting with something outside of yourself. A pendulum only works with yes and no questions. It doesn’t give us complete directions because we’re here to discover the journey and find our own creative solutions. Learning how to use energy for unselfish intentions is the key.

We have to ask simple questions because there exists the foundation of truth— without the commentary of our mind’s interference. Simple keeps us in our hearts where judgement isn’t welcome. In our heart we are instructed by the divine wisdom we have acquired to unveil a wealth of knowledge. This timeless wisdom is more powerful than anything of this world.

When we act with compassion and kindness, we are rewarded with spiritual wealth. It’s endless supply of love is like having a brilliant mind connected to a humble, unconditional heart. In this place no one is better, and nothing is insurmountable.

Our world is in a critical place, but we have the power to change that. This is the time we came for, knowing the outcome we desire can be more magnificent than the current devastation we’re seeing.

We’ve all witnessed our world becoming richer in resources and problem solving technology. But it has also become more corrupt, in disregard for life of every kind. In this three dimensional plane there are the physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. I’m suggesting today that we’ll find peace and harmony; when we accept that physical acquisitions of wealth do not hold supreme power.

Are you ready to explore your true identity in the evolution of wealth in spiritual wisdom? Can you imagine how that would change our world? If we all trusted and valued ourselves more than any outside influence? If we treated others with the respect and kindness that we were created to embody? If we didn’t have to look outside of ourselves, knowing our spiritual voice would guide us to truth and right action?

I’ve always held a belief within my heart that humans make life too complicated. The answers are simple. It was our fall from grace — our desire to have more than enough that was and remains the downfall of humanity.

Commit to living in your spiritual wealth. Getting to know what you bring to our world. Because when we align with this purpose, and courageously stand in our power… Everything we need, including physical wealth, will be provided for the greatest transformation this world has ever seen.
